Inspired by and proposed for the highly acclaimed 2024 TV series Constellation. When a fatal accident occurs on board the International Space Station, a lone astronaut makes the heroic journey back to Earth, only to discover key pieces of her life, including her young daughter, have changed.Transport yourself on her journey as the song unfolds and builds, the ominous chord structure reminding us of the perils of travelling on the fringes of the outer reaches..
The process of blending live guitars with essentially a dance music track has been done before, but I'd not done it and had a riff I wanted to work with. Developing that and then blending with the driving bass, the varied percussion and drums, then overlaying the soft vocals, this song has been in development for over 2 years on and off. Finally we are here, please enjoy!
This song punctuates the process and serves as a reminder that behind every face lies a story. Never judge a book by it's cover, never assume that because someone is smiling on the outside that their life isn't upside down for one of a million reasons on the inside. You just never know until you walk in their shoes.
Remastered for 2024 - I teamed up with the incredible talents of Nida a couple of years ago, the US artist who provided the vocal artistry for this ground-up adaptation of this iconic song. Originally sung by a male vocalist, this haunting version of the song now sounds so much better thanks to Nida's outstanding performance. I performed all the music and mixed the track, which was then mastered by the exceptional Chris Pavey.
Aria Math is a song by Daniel Rosenfeld that originally comes from Minecraft. In the End is a song by American rock band Linkin Park. It is the eighth track on their debut album, Hybrid Theory (2000), and was released as the album's fourth and final single. When I heard Aria Math for the first time I immediately started humming "In The End" along with it and came up with this idea for a mashup of the two.
